Roll Form Group, a Division of Samuel (RFG), has supplied heavy roll formed product to major industries for over 45 years. The company was established in 1967 as Canadian Metal Rolling Mills (CMRM) in conjunction with Samuel, Son & Co., Limited. SUMMARY & SCOPE
Responsible for adherence to all Safety Policies and Procedures and compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the respective Mill Operator procedures, work orders, work instructions, and specified customer requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Set-up roll-forming tooling
Operate and maintain roll-forming machines
Complete roll-forming machine maintenance and preventative maintenance
Complete all required safety and quality checks and measurements
Adhere to all Health & Safety Policies and Procedures
Meet shift objectives and KPIs by ensuring efficient and safe operations
Assist in implementing lean manufacturing initiatives to improve production efficiencies
Other duties as assigned
Mill Operator Lead Hand:
Must have all the requirement of Class A plus
Able to safety lead a team to run a mill
Identify way to achieve and exceed targets through continuous improvement and Lean 6-SIGMA initiatives.
Provide mentorship and leadership o members of the Mill Crew.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
All Operators:
Flexibility on shift times and overtime as required
Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Forklift experience
Ability to bend, crouch and lift items (60lbs) as required
Class C:
Minimum 1 year experience in set-up, operation and maintaining of Roll Forming machines
Ability to run a Mill with assistance
Ability to assist with a change over
Class B:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in set-up, operation and maintaining of Roll Forming machines
Ability to run a Mill with minimal assistance
Ability to complete a change over with minimal assistance
Class A:
Min 7-10 years’ experience in the set-up, operation and maintaining of Roll Forming machines
Ability to run a Mill on their own
Ability to direct a change over independently
Mill Operator Lead Hand:
Must have 10 years’ experience.
Will act in the absence of the supervisor.
Must have all the appropriate training for H&S.
Must have good communication skills.
