The Boeing F/A-18 Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) organization is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager, in Berkeley, Missouri, to lead a team of systems engineers performing Systems Engineering and Integration.
This position drives constructive collaboration across Boeing organizations and with Customer (USN and DCMA) personnel in the pursuit of first-time quality and on-time delivery initiatives. The selected individual will leverage systems engineering knowledge and experience in leading team members to understand Customer requirements and respond with integrated solutions in terms of systems engineering processes, tools, and resources that empower the collective engineering organization and provide recurring visibility of organizational level performance.
The Systems Engineering Manager will plan and staff systems engineers for multiple F/A-18 programs and ECPs, anticipate staffing demands and collaborate across a large organization for optimal resource allocations and personnel development. Develop, scale and drive MBSE practices across the organization and work with enterprise leaders on MBSE solution kits.
Implement systems engineering statement of work (SOW). Specific SOW includes the development of system requirements, verification plans, ICD development, test bed definition and integration of multiple systems as part of the validation method.
The execution portion of the assignment includes earned value management, proposal development, scheduling and management of daily priorities. Collaboration across the suite of programs including prioritization of SOW across multiple programs and ECPs. Utilize domain knowledge in SEIT experience. Other key capabilities include clear and concise, written and oral communication of complex subjects to Boeing leadership and at all levels of customer engagement.
As a first line leader, this position is responsible for performance of people-related tasks for assigned personnel including performance enablement, talent management, labor charge approval, staffing/hiring, and career development.
