Skills include: Environmental Control System Design and Installation (ECS), Fuel System Design and Installation, Hydraulic System Design and Installation, Thermal Analysis, Mechanical Systems Design (Landing Gear, Mechanisms, and Secondary Power).Position Responsibilities:Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design.

Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups.

Performs and documents system performance using computational analysis tools to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

Performs detail vehicle integration design using 3D model based engineering design tools.

Contributes to supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals.

Supports system components' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation. Trains others.

Works under general direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Astronautical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering

Experience do you have working with computer aided design such as CATIA, Solidworks, or Siemens NX.

Experience with Product Data Management tools/systems such as TeamCenter and ENOVIA.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD), utilizing model-based definition, in Unigraphics

Experience with thermal analysis tools such as Thermal Desktop.

Experience working with aircraft fluid systems design and components including pumps, valves, heat exchangers and controls.

Ability to multi-task and work in a multi-discipline team environment.

Ability to develop solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation as necessary.

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
