Responsibilities
Below is a list of your responsibilities as a second shift Mental Health Clerk with Corizon Health :
Log requests for offsite and diagnostic studies. Maintain mental health clinic logs and ensure that appointments are scheduled according to DOC protocols.
Assist nurses and other staff in issuing and tracking minor medical equipment (e.g. heating pads).
Collect data from ER logs, segregation logs, etc. for monthly QI reporting.
Coordinate the scheduling of on-site specialty appointments (e.g. X-ray, physical therapy, medical-surgical subspecialties).
Answer telephone calls, take messages and make telephone calls as needed. Type correspondence, reports or memorandums, as needed.
Order, receive and maintain office supplies.
Maintain roster or appointment book based on scheduled appointments, both offsite and onsite, as needed.
Update medical diet lists, as needed.
Other related duties as requested by Supervisors or Health Services Administrator

Experience & Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent
At least one year of experience in a mental health care environment.
A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.
