Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started.Summary: Meta’s human resources function, People@, seeks a People Strategic Execution Manager - Talent and HR to serve as a team leader within the People Planning and Strategy organization. People@ serves Meta to create a place where everyone can do the best work of their careers. The strategic execution team supports that mission by orchestrating and coordinating execution of HR strategic priorities and complex emergent projects. This position leads a team of project managers and HR consultants to ensure holistic and consistent delivery of Meta’s most important people priorities. The core focus areas for this position include team leadership and career support, strategic initiative scoping and activation, initiative delivery, and integration with portfolio and resource management practices for People@. The role drives the initiative activation process for priorities and emergent work. It requires escalating and resolving major issues as well as communicating with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate for this will possess demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills and must be able to manage multiple complex parallel projects simultaneously. A passion for building and developing teams is a must as well as demonstrated success in a rapidly growing and scaling organization is also beneficial.Required Skills: Take an active role in leading highly complex multi-year projects aimed at implementing updates to HR programs or representing broader transformational/strategic initiatives. Typically, this role will oversee a portfolio of work while being assigned one or more initiative leadership opportunities.
Manage team engaged in the development and implementation of complex projects through planning, scheduling, and assigning work as well as provide guidance and check the work to maintain quality, accuracy and productivity. Overcome roadblocks by advising a course of action and making recommendations to leadership where alternative solutions are available.
Manage a backlog across a target set of initiatives/portfolios including support prioritization of work and resource alignment with leadership.
Manage and maintain project plans, develop action plans for issues, track risk mitigation plans, make recommendations as necessary to advance projects.
Review project and project status documentation for integrity, accuracy and timeliness as well as provide reporting to stakeholders.
Build effective relationships to influence and partner with stakeholders on our team’s function, purpose, and scope of work.
Enable adoption of best practices and advise teams on leading approaches to initiative design and delivery across People@ based on the methodology designed by the People Planning and Strategy organization.
Lead and support professional services partners on engagements, as required for specific initiatives and programs.
Provide thought leadership and drive structure for the respective People Strategic Execution team function, as well as for the team.
Build alignment among team members with diverse backgrounds, many of whom will be working together for the first time, for the duration of a project.
Set appropriate expectations, priorities, and context for team members as well as support career development and performance processes.
Provide input into the People@ annual strategic planning process based on depth of experience and expertise delivering projects as well as lead the translation of strategic priorities into defined initiatives.
Ensure ongoing alignment with portfolio management and resource management practices of the People Planning and Strategy organization.
Support go-to-market and release management across the portfolio in coordination with cross-functional partners, leaders, and standard governance practices.
Minimum Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in human resources consulting, enterprise project management, or internal strategy roles.
4+ years of experience leading and supporting teams of 3 or more direct reports.
Experience navigating high degree of ambiguity in high velocity organizations - background in working at a fast pace and across many types and altitudes of work as well as with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
Effective team and organizational leader - demonstrated history of building project-based teams and supporting career development and positive experiences.
Experience with demonstrated commitment to collaboration and curious inquiry on complex projects.
Facilitation and issue resolution skills as well as demonstrated experience working at all levels in a matrix environment to build and maintain the positive relationships required to drive complex initiatives.
Communication, presentation, interpersonal, and team effectiveness skills.
Decision-making skills – experience in negotiating and balancing decisions and managing competing priorities across multiple functional areas.
Data analysis and presentation development skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certification.
Familiarity with agile delivery and transformation methodologies.
Experience in organizational transformation, human resources consulting, and/or people practice development.
Experience in the technology industry and/or high-growth companies.
Experience with common workplace and project management tools (esp. Agile platforms) like Asana, MS Office, and comfort learning new technologies.
