Provides leadership, direction and oversight over the development, implementation and effective functioning of the Company Compliance Program throughout the assigned geographic region of Company 's Ministry. This position may also have Mercy-wide responsibility for one or more service lines as determined by the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and/or the Chief Compliance Officer. Facilitates policies and processes to support adherence to the Company Code of Conduct and Compliance Program Plan by Company co-workers and physicians serving in all assigned hospitals, clinics, Mercy-wide service lines, and post-acute facility locations. The Compliance Director reports directly to Company 's Deputy Chief Compliance Officer, or where applicable, Executive Director-Compliance, and performs duties in a manner consistent with Company 's mission and values.QUALIFICATIONS: Each career at Company represents unique members of our caring ministry's "body", working together for the health and strength of the whole. To achieve our goals, we need all the parts functioning at their best and this requires the specific qualifications that you'll bring with you: Education: Bachelor's degree. Experience: Minimum three 3 years of experience in health care regulatory compliance required. Certifications/Registrations: Certified in Healthcare Compliance through the Health Care Compliance Association HCCA or become certified within 24 months of hire. Other: Must understand English both written and spoken, must be able to safely and successfully perform job-related functions, with or without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state, or local law.
