Machine Shop Supervisor (Lead Machinist)
Clark Industries, Inc. (est 1967) is seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor. This position requires a person to lead a team of machine operators and machinists helping them to maintain quality and safety. This person must be dependable, have a good work ethic, be able to maintain a positive temperament, and project a 'can do' attitude at all times.
Candidate & Job Requirements:
Must have a comprehensive understanding of machining and process fundamentals.
o Able to Load, Store, & Update CNC Programs on Machines.
o Experience Operating and Performing Set-up on CNC Machines.
o Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining processes.
o Able to multi-task while assisting with multiple processes and machining centers.
o Inspect & Validate machined parts and make adjustments as required.
o Make tool changes & Verify offsets and corrections required.
o Use skills to protect employees, machines and tooling at all times.
Skilled in interpretation of blueprints, drawings and specification information.
o Capable of determining tooling requirements from these drawings.
o Understand raw material requirements to insure proper ordering and stocking quantities.
o Be proactive & aware of work load and planning requirements for jobs to insure minimum down time.
o Able to work with Engineering to improve production and reduce overall costs.
Proficient in the inspection of parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges and pins.
o Must be comfortable with in-process inspection procedures.
o Be detail oriented and able to visually check parts for defects to insure high tolerance to quality.
o Participate in troubleshooting and solving production related problems.
o Record any improvements and changes in Job Log to future needs.
