Service Technician / Trailer Mechanic (Carthage, MO)
Currently seeking self-motivated candidate to join our team of over 25 years. This is a full time position for Trailer Service Technician. Ideal candidates have an outgoing personality, are reliable, and self-motivated. Experience in semi-trailer repair a plus but not required. 2 years mechanical experience required. Must have valid driver's license and willingness to submit to a background check. This is a great opportunity to start with a rapidly growing company with possibilities for advancement. Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Performing inspections, service, and repairs on Hopper, Livestock, Dry Van type, flat bed and all other semi-trailers
Diagnose failures and making repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on trailer
Using Hydraulic jacks or hoist, to gain access to the underside of the unit to aid in the removal or replacement of assemblies such as springs, axles, landing gear, brakes, etc.
Welding of steel and/or aluminum
Panel Repair and Replacement Buck Riveting
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Going on parts runs if we don't have parts in house
Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
Job Requirements
2 years of Mechanical experience with Semi-Trailer repair preferred
Training in Electrical Welding of steel and/or aluminum
Valid driver's license
Experience in Air Brake repair and ABS repair and maintenance a plus
