Database Engineer Principal to work in Kansas City, MO : Meet with USDA business representatives to understand scope and requirements of the database design. Design database solutions using various data architecture patterns manipulation. Design multi-dimensional database that is optimized for data warehouse and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) cubes for data reporting and mining. Write multi-dimensional queries. Test all work product and confirming outcome through specific and verifiable test results. Create system document in architecture documents. Attend daily team stand-up meetings. Work the Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) board documenting work progress. Development of ETL, Reporting and Multidimensional analytical Cube using Microsoft Business Intelligence (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) data tools. Dashboards, BI Analytical Reporting and Visualization using Power BI tool. Design and Development of Data Model and Data Warehouse (Star\Snowflake and Data Vault). Write data extraction, transformation and extract-transform-load (ETL) procedures for data manipulation. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent based on evaluation of academic credentials, training and/or experience) as well as twenty-four (24) months in job or job related experience to duties listed above.
