Description Join a team of highly skilled, motivated professionals as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk through this opportunity offered by Robert Half. This position works closely and reports to the Controller and handles all general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The essential functions of this role will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Kansas City, Missouri area and will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire position.Major responsibilitiesSort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Provide customer service to internal business partners
Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Provide support during internal and external audits
Fulfill full-cycle A/P
Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
Requirements
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Comprehensive knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) - preferred
Daily Cash Flow experience
Purchase Orders experience highly desired
Payable Invoices experience
Great attention to detail
