This position will be located in Kansas City, MO Summary of Duties: Develop a company-wide furniture standard that considers existing layouts and inventory, as well as COVID safety protocols. Utilize our facilities partner, FES, for input, deliverables and execution.
Ensure design standards are followed and monitor for continuous improvement and development
Review drawings sets and purchase requisitions for accuracy and intent
Participate in client presentations and assist in monitoring design development
Manage and guide FES in the areas of space planning strategy and problem solving in developing solutions
Support other teams and internal committees for planning efforts
Assist with managing excess inventory
Manages a portfolio of facilities construction and equipment installation projects and coordinates these projects through interfaces with NNSA Infrastructure, General Services Administration PublicBuilding Service, and Commercial Leasing Agents
Ensures that integrated project management processes are aligned with industry best practices and are consistently applied across the business
Demonstrated experience in project leadership and decision making
Experience leading matrixed and multidisciplinary teams and assignments
Leads key, complex program(s) and projects and/or strategic business process development and execution
May be assigned to lead strategic business development and/or execution efforts across the organization and at the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) level
You Must Have:
U.S. citizenship in order to obtain and maintain U.S. Department of Energy ""Q"" level security clearance
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Engineering, Architecture, Scientific, Construction Management or Business-related field with applied technical experience and expertise necessary for facilities related project and program management assignments
Seven or more years of experience in key facilities operations, construction, engineering, manufacturing, and/or program/project management roles, including application of: advanced engineering technologies; program principles related to highly complex technical or program assignments; and/or, complex strategic business processes

Expertise in estimation methods, critical path analysis, and contemporary program management trends and practices
Expertise in integrating multiple, complex business and technical/engineering processes
Ability to interpret, negotiate and capture customer requirements Proven excellence in effective communication, interactive presentations, and negotiation skills
Ability to routinely represent program management and company to stakeholder Proven ability to mentor, coach, and lead program management personnel and other staff in a matrixed management environment
