Duties also include the new development and minor enhancements to the applications based on customer requirements.Primary duties, include, but are not limited to,Develop system functionality using Java J2EE (translates detailed design into computer software).
Conduct tests, debug, and refine the software to produce the required product.
Troubleshoot defects/other issues raised internally or by state partners.
Write SQL queries in support of development and/or troubleshooting.
Participate in backlog grooming and design sessions.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with Agile development tools, such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence
Must be able to work as part of a team, as well as independently
Must grasp new concepts easily and be willing to continually learn
Must be flexible and willing to help other team members in support of project goals
Previous USDA experience is highly desired but not required

Java certification (Java Certified Associate OCA/SCJP any version 5 or greater)
Experience in Java J2EE experience with EJB, xml,API, json
Experience in modern web applications with hands on experience preferred with Angular and Node.
Experience in developing code using Spring framework.
Experience working with JMS
Experience in JavaScript, HTML
Experience in SQL Server database
Experience with Web services (SOAP, REST)
Experience working with Jboss7 and Java 8.
Basic technical writing skills and the ability to communicate clearly
Experience with Jboss Deployment process
