In this Role, You will Need:

ASG-Zeke, Zebb, Zena, TSO, JCL, MVS.

Monitor Z/OS Mainframe computer systems.

Perform monthly Mainframe IPL.

Knowledge of IBM HMC.

Perform console operator functions

Monitor and execute batch processing on multiple OS platforms using line commands, menus, and GUI interfaces.

Perform file system restores.

Execute and monitor system backups.

Monitor and manage Mainframe systems and respond to alerts.

Perform problem determination, escalations, document, and follow issues through to resolution

Understanding and knowledge of different groups (i.e. Operations, Change Management, Applications, Network, and Technical Support) and their roles within a large data center environment

Perform Disaster Recovery testing for all our business units as needed.

Proficient in ServiceNow ticketing systems

Strong technical analytical skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent time management and organizational skills and ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks/projects with minimal supervision

Ability to function as a member of a ETS/ETO project team and translate business/customer requirements into executable solutions.

Provide education, guidance, and assurance to the Command Center Technicians to grow and develop their ability to handle common problems.

What You'll Do:Support Console/Batch Operations for Mainframe environment: Must have prior experience and working knowledge in some or all activities: troubleshooting, operating, testing, and/or configuring relevant technologies used within the department. In depth knowledge of operating system and at least one or more of the following areas: hardware, server, network, software, application, database or other technologies. Use network tools to evaluate the operational health and well-being change of the production network. Responsible for overall production support of the network infrastructure for the organization. Based on Network Performance Management and identification of operational trends, position will provide support of feasibility studies and evaluate vendor products and services for network hardware and software. Provide technical assistance, guidance and training to Command Center Production Operations employees. Provide technical input for the development, implementation and testing of a disaster recovery plan for the data infrastructure needs of the company. Collaborate with Network Engineering teams to facilitate the acceptance of equipment and environments into production. Bachelor¿s degree in Information Technology

Experience in cross platform scheduling

ITIL Foundations Certification
