I am a single dad with an 13 yr old son who has Autism. He is high functioning and his past providers have all really enjoyed working with him. I am looking for someone who can provide after school care several days a week and on Saturdays while I am at work, approximately 25-35 hours a week. My schedule may fluctuate, so I need someone that can be flexible as well, this may include some Sundays. Additionally, snow days, sick days and other school closings would be required for the ideal candidate This care would be provided in my home but community outings are welcomed. THIS IS NOT A BABY SITTING JOB. This position requires working with my child in meeting preset goals. While my child does have some behavior issues, they can be well managed. My son receives state funding through the Department of Mental Health. The State requires all prospective employees to be 18 years of age, pass a background check, and complete online training prior to employment. I have completed the training, it is not difficult. I will ask that you be prepared to complete this training at time of interview. Additionally, drug testing may be requested.
