Due to addition of new physician, our internal medicine subspecialty team is responsible for the delivery of outstanding patient care by promoting patient education, safety and wellbeing. The Medical Assistant we're seeking is responsible for patient assessments, electronic health record documentation, and physician office encounter preparation. Additional responsibilities include:
-Review of patient's presenting problem, or reason for office visit.
-Greeting and preparing patients for the physician.
-Obtaining & recording patient's vitals (bp, pulse, hx.,ht, wt., allergies, & meds).
-Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and follows up to ensure completion of testing.
-Communicate test results and plan of care as directed by physician.
-Prepare, sterilize and organize medical instruments.
-Maintain equipment; organized and stock exam rooms.
-Accurately document patient plan(s) of care, tests & examination results.
-Perform other duties as assigned by management or physicians.
What we're seeking:
- 6 months or more current, or recent MA experience.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
- Pulse EHR experience a plus!
