Functional Overview: Monitors team performance, conducts regular appraisals, manages training and development of team members related to assembly operations and on the job training skills. Ensure team members understand customer needs and deliver the expected outcome. Regularly review work procedures for improvement and accuracy. Modify or create work instructions when applicable. Establish and maintain active and constructive relationships with other teams in the organization. Lead and participate in problem solving activities related to process improvement, quality initiatives, safe work practices and 5s events.

Key Interfaces:

This individual will work closely with the Site Director, Production Supervisor, Scheduling, Engineering, Customer Service, Purchasing, Accounts Receivable, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, other team leaders as well as materials and production assembly operators. Must have strong material handling skills.

Responsiblities:

Leadership in day to day materials tasks.

Update and report daily KPI performance.

Maintain inventory control within the warehouse and assembly areas.

Update inventory management records with the MRP system.

Execute freight shipping daily for LTL and small parcel operations.

Service Parts Shipping.

Bay bin checks.

Cycle counts.

Productivity:

Responsible for providing leadership for the materials team.

Achieve the daily scheduled delivery tasks and shipments.

Maintain a neat and orderly work environment.

Report component part shortages to the Production Managers, and the Purchasing Coordinator

as soon as they are detected.

Assess adequacy of component part stocking levels.

Participate in the coordination of the flow of products throughout the manufacturing process.

Kanban delivery to production lines.

Assigning tasks to team members and giving them specific directions and procedures to follow in carrying

out assigned tasks.

Motivating team members to harness their potentials and work harder for the execution of projects.

Work Environment:

Non-climate controlled warehouse with exposure to outside. Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Experience:

Highly skilled in inventory control activities such as processing and packaging of materials, receiving, stock transfers, cycle counting, bay bin checks. MRP system, Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, Purchase order, Kanban and other associated transactional knowledge.

Education:

High School Diploma

Skills:

Must be detail oriented.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization.

SysPro, SAP, JD Edwards or other MRP/ERP software.
