Nursing Instructor - ECC Rolla
Job Label:ÂNursing Instructor - Rolla AY20
East Central College has an opening for full-time (nine-month) nursing instructor to teach the classroom and clinical components of the curriculum for the areas of medical surgical and pediatrics at our Rolla location. Instructor is expected to develop an active learning environment with the use of effective instructional technology. Duties include student advisement, course content development and office hours. Schedule will include teaching primarily day, but may include evening and/or weekend classes. At least two years of full-time adult medical surgical experience is required and pediatric experience is preferred.
Full-time facultyÂwork aÂnine month contract from August - May. FacultyÂteach thirty (30) semester credit hours (or the equivalent in lab/clinical hours) and maintain 7Âoffice hours per weekÂper academic year. Anticipated start date of August 2019.
ECC offers an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing. A LPN to RN Bridge program is also available for LPNs interested in becoming registered nurses. The nursing program has state-of-the-art clinical labs which utilize technology and high-fidelity human patient simulators.

Minimum Qualifications: (A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.)
Master's degree in Nursing, preferred. Baccalaureate degree in nursing is minimally required. Appropriate clinical practice with minimum of five years of experience in nursing. Current, active licensure to practice professional nursing in Missouri; the candidateâs license to practice professional nursing have never been disciplined in any jurisdiction.ÂÂ

Minimum Starting Salary: $38,806 (nine-month contract of approximately 172 working days); will commensurate with education and years of experience.
