Wells Fargo Technology plays a critical role in the company’s customer and employee experience, business and risk management transformation, and growth agenda.This is an Application Engineering/Support role within Wealth, Investment Management & Capital Markets Technology Platform Management, supporting Wealth and Trust Technology, a part of the Wealth Investment Management Technology division within EIT. The candidate will be responsible for implementing lifecycle tech refresh and implementations for Wealth and Trust applications. Candidate will act individually and within a team by providing application engineering and support, system maintenance, application deployment, and design guidance and consultation utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. Participates in systems implementation, validation and the migration of platforms and applications to production. Develops new or maintains existing documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Works within a team and often independently across projects, allocates and partners effectively with team resources and may coordinate task oversight of small to medium sized projects. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.Successful candidates must have outstanding design, implementation, and troubleshooting skills in deploying, supporting, installing and configuring multi-tier, enterprise applications that can be applied to all levels of a heterogeneous technology ecosystem (primarily Unix/Linux, Weblogic or comparable middleware, with some Windows/.Net and IIS web server products experience desirable. A record of problem-solving and crafting application design efficiencies that leverage both open source and vendor resources is desirable. Applicants must demonstrate a passion for using automation to improve their own and others’ effectiveness. Knowledge of one or more scripting languages is beneficial. Experience and expertise with production incident management with multiple stakeholders a high preference. Excellent communication skills are necessary and effective cross-team collaboration and documentation skills a desirable premium.Applicants must have production application design/support experience in a 24x7 environment. Capability to self-start and drive initiatives with little to no oversight, and document and engage with a globally distributed team. This position will offer the ability for additional scaling and integration to a standardized support, deployment, and engineering teams looking for another great team member addition!Required Qualifications:

5+ years of systems analysis experience

5+ years of systems programming experience

2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: Agile, Kanban, or Lean methodology

5+ years of middleware development experience

5+ years of UNIX experience

5+ years of advanced scripting experience using Unix Shell Scripting, Perl, Python, Java, or PL-SQL

A BS/BA degree or higher

Desired Qualifications:

Expert knowledge and understanding of technologies related to infrastructure engineering

Ability to identify, report, and solution problems in new and existing software in a team environment

Ability to identify and correct system capacity issues

Ability to help remediate tough technical support issues

In-depth technical solution knowledge, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and problem solving

Ability to turn preliminary or ambiguous information, ideas, or problems into well-defined plans and solutions

Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs

Ability to grasp complex business issues quickly, recommend solutions, and drive for resolutions

Knowledge and understanding of web systems: applications-

Knowledge and understanding of web systems: architecture or design-

Knowledge and understanding of web systems: performance tuning

Knowledge and understanding of web systems: physical, logical, hardware, and software

Knowledge and understanding of web systems: security applications and systems

Knowledge and understanding of web systems: web application installations, upgrades, and deployments

5+ years of experience supporting .net applications

Apache experience

Firewall experience

5+ years of Weblogic experience

Knowledge and understanding of Windows OS administration

Knowledge and understanding of design and creation of autopsy jobs

Knowledge and understanding of technical documentation: for technical design documentation used by engineering teams

5+ years of IIS experience

Ability to manage SSL certificates processes ranging from monitoring SSL certificate expiration dates, ordering certificates, and installing certificates on servers in a timely manner to assure product availability

Knowledge and understanding of lifecycle management, including implementation, maintenance, patching, health checks, capacity planning, and decommissioning

Splunk experience

JBOSS experience

5+ years of Linux experience

Knowledge and understanding of complex enterprise systems and frameworks including frontends, middleware, services layer, database, backend and downstream interfaces

Knowledge and understanding of technology installation: configuring and troubleshooting middleware on servers

Knowledge and understanding of technology support: operational support for middleware instances and applications configuration

Messaging Queue (MQ) experience

MS Active Directory experience

Mutual Authentication experience

Knowledge and understanding of Python, Ruby, PowerShell, and Shell scripting

Experience utilizing PowerShell, Bash, Perl, or Python to automate complex manual tasks

Knowledge and understanding of Boks or Keon

Puppet experience

Knowledge and understanding of system monitoring and high availability architectures, at an enterprise level

Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled

Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays
