The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.Conduct Risk is responsible for establishing a set of policies and risk management requirements to enable Wells Fargo to effectively manage current and emerging conduct risks in a manner consistent with the company’s values, ethical principles, and supervisory guidance and expectations; performing independent oversight and credible challenge to the front line’s adherence to those requirements; and providing independent oversight to the management of misconduct allegations, and customer complaints.This Senior Compliance Officer role is responsible for oversight of Consumer & Small Business Banking Oversight lines of business support for conduct risk – inclusive of sales practices, insider threat, ethics, and internal fraud. Role will assess business risk, mitigation controls, monitoring, issues, and reporting. Role will directly interface with business, control executives, and Head of Sales Practices Risk and Oversight.Key Responsibilities:Identifying risk, existing controls, controls gaps, areas for improvement, trends, emerging risks, and overall recommendations

Supporting all conduct risk types including sales practices, ethics, insider threat, and internal fraud

Identity solutions with front line management, with differing opinions and challenges

Identify solution for complex lines of business with sales practices issues

Provides advice and credible challenge to line of business senior management, conduct risk senior management, audit, and regulators

Interacts with senior business leaders, control function partners, audit and regulators to foster candor, transparency, and awareness of conduct-related activities

Provide risk expertise and issue resolution guidance for enterprise programs, projects and initiatives that represent a high level of conduct risk across the enterprise and/or large business lines to ensure timely resolution

Evaluates key conduct risk metrics and identifies additional metrics/reporting needed for effective oversight

Required Qualifications:10+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 10+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 7+ years must include direct experience in risk management

An active Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation

Ability to motivate a team and lead strategic initiatives, collaborating across a large organization and multi-tasking as required

Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
