The PC Technician Role is a long-term temporary opportunity and will be located in Springfield, Missouri.

Your responsibilities

- Install printers, and troubleshoot and repair issues

- Provide frequent and effective communication with ticket submitters

- Take responsibility for technology implementation projects and carry them out

- Track equipment inventory, and suggest and assist with purchases

- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish a variety of computer hardware, including PCs, laptops, monitors, servers and other IT equipment

- Dismantle, box and ship outdated equipment

- Provide support for functionality testing and end users

- Ensure the integrity of electronic data records, acting in accordance with company quality standards

- Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities

- Handle all imaging and preparation tasks for new computers

- Coordinate repairs with the appropriate vendors

- Take down, box, move and set up/install on site

- Complete transferal of data from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware as well as break/fix

Requirements

- 1 - 3 years of experience supporting hardware and software for PC and Mac, and knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN

- Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

- CompTIA A+ certification mandatory

- Show the ability to adapt and learn new techniques and skill sets when required

- An understanding of networking such as switching and routing is preferred

- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

- Foundational knowledge in Desktop Hardware

- Application support experience

- PC skills experience desired

- Strong familiarity with Deskside Support
