We seek a Data Analyst with experience in healthcare who is eager to use their domain knowledge and their skills in BI tools, SQL, and programming languages to rapidly turn data into insights. This position requires a solid understanding of business intelligence solutions.In this role, you will work across organizational units with both business and engineering stakeholders to operationalize a federated data governance and data warehouse development process that adheres to “Data Mesh” principles. In addition, critical to our success is forming teams of highly diverse individuals passionate about making a difference.Key Responsibilities:Support data visualization lifecycle, working in an Agile environment
Work with cross-functional teams to research business terms to define data elements and maintain a data dictionary
Research data sources to define data lineage and create data flow diagrams
Define data elements for specified reporting and analysis scenarios
Explain complex business data structures in a manner that matches the various stakeholder audience levels
Define conceptual data models to aggregate data for specified reporting and analysis scenarios
Perform Ad-hoc reporting and analysis from disparate data sources using SQL and Python
Create low to mid-fidelity wireframes to elaborate reporting functionality required to support analysis scenarios and modernize existing reporting with end-user UX best practices
Attend daily stand-up meetings and participate in other Agile ceremonies, including requirements gathering and demoing work to internal staff and external stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:BS with 7+ years of relevant technical experience or an MS and 3+ years of technical experience
3+ more years working in the healthcare industry in a data analyst role
Intermediate/expert skills with SQL and basic statistics
Demonstrable expertise in Python programming
Ability and desire to take ownership of and initiative for analysis; from requirements clarification to deliverable
Ability to understand and articulate the "big picture" and simplify complex ideas
Ability to identify and learn applicable new techniques independently as needed
Must live in the United States, have lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years, and be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with relational and dimensional data modeling, SQL, and business intelligence (BI) tools, such as Superset, Tableau, Quicksight, Looker, etc.
Experience working in the healthcare industry
