Johnson Electric (JE) is excited to announce that we are now recruiting for a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer for our Springfield, TN location. The person who fills this role will act as the Quality interface between plant manufacturing and suppliers. Manages quality of all external supplier purchased components, including resolutions to quality issues and continuous improvement activities.Responsibilities:Ensure supplier technical or quality problems are resolved in a timely and effective manner without reoccurrence
Work with purchasing to develop new and existing suppliers for new and replacement products, including supplier auditing
Participate with APQP team on new product development
Monitor key supplier measureables and ensure suppliers meet established expectations
Responsible for PPAP purchased parts approvals
Maintain NMRs database for purchased parts
Review and verify supplier corrective actions (8Ds)
Manage supplier change & deviation requests to completion
Perform Run at Rate studies and VDA 6.3 Audits at supplier locations
RequirementsPreferred Qualifications:Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Ability read technical drawings, notes and dimensions
Expertise in application of AIAG Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA and PFMEA)
Expert in problem solving techniques (8D, 5-whys, Fishbone diagram)
Thorough understanding of TS16949 requirements
Understanding of AIAG CQI requirements
Understanding of variation reduction and zero defects
Effective communication skills and ability to lead projects at a supplier location

Basic Qualifications:Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
