Complete Home Remodeling LLC is looking for a person with remodeling experience. We really need a person who is well rounded with skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry (real carpentry, not just base and casing), roofing but with special attention paid to drywall and painting skills. I hear too often about guys drywall skills (including patching and blending), only to find that I wouldn't even want them to drywall a simple apartment, never mind any high-end houses. We also perform mold remediations- I will supply all PPE for these tasks. I would prefer no limitations such as: the fear, or inability to perform in crawlspaces: the fear, or inability to perform on roofs- no greater than 8/12 pitch.
We are also a service based company and sometimes we run multiple service calls in a day. So, having reliable transportation is a must (preferably, a truck or van) along with most of your own tools. I can provide the larger saws and whatnot. Customer service is paramount at Complete Home Remodeling and qualified candidates must have a good attitude and good hygiene. You won't start at $20.00 per hour. But, if you are my person, you will be there by the end of this year. I usually start at $15.00 per hour and we move on from there. I do pay well, but I need to see punctuality and performance first.
If we find a candidate willing to travel, we will pay prevailing wage for the area we are in. For example: if we install a Firestone EPDM flat roofing system in Pittsburgh, PA, Complete Home Remodeling will pay qualified roofers $43.42 per hour and laborers will make double their local (what they make in Springfield) hourly wage. Lodging is paid on the road as well as $210.00 per diem (weekly rate). Jobs on the road will typically be wrapped up in 2 to 3 weeks, but there is potential for longer stints on the road- in which plans will be made to make sure everyone gets a reasonable amount of time at home during these longer jobs.
I spend most of my days finding work and estimating. So, we really need someone with good organization, who can communicate calmly and intelligently, to take the lead on the labor tasks. I prefer to get your materials once per day, not 5 times because you didn't have PVC glue in your truck this morning and you didn't realize it until noonYou will be provided a helper as well.
This is an HOURLY position. I am willing to go 10-99 or W-2. W-2 employees are eligible for approved overtime and are paid every 2 weeks. 10-99 "employees" get paid straight time, no time and a half, and are paid weekly. Both 10-99 and W-2 workers get the major holidays paid off.
