ÂThe Farm Equipment Mechanic/Technician is responsible for performing both basic and complex diagnostics on agricultural equipment, and perform repairs/ maintenance on both customer-owned, or dealer-owned, equipment.Â
Job Responsibilities:
Performs basic/complex diagnostics on agricultural/diesel equipment, determine appropriateÂrepairs and/or recommended for future attention/maintenance.
Performs repairs on above equipment. Accountable for performing quality work and attaining stated goals for efficiency.
Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
Completes all reports and forms (service tickets, parts receipts, time card)Âfor service operations in a timely and accurate manner.Â
Maintains good condition and cleanliness of company vehicles inventory, tools, and equipment, including return of tools to storage areas.
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
Work in a safe and efficient manner both for self and other employees.Â
Assist other technicians as needed.
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with customers and other staff/management.
Any other tasks as assigned by management.Â
Requirements:
MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS!
Technical degree in Agricultural orÂDiesel Mechanics, or High School Diploma or GED with 3Âyears of experience in related service field.
Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of Agricultural Equipment.Â
Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Â
Skilled in operation of equipment and vehicles needed for repairs.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of computer systems as needed to research parts and relevant tasks
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Ability to work on Saturdays is REQUIRED.
Ability to lift 75 pounds as required without assistance.Â
Valid driver's license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Status and ability to safely operate motor vehicle.Â
Positive attitude, willingness to show up to work when scheduled and perform tasks as assigned by management.Â
