Job Title: Sr. Android Developer
Location: St. Louis, MO
Duration: Long Term

Description:
The Mobile Application Developer will be responsible for design, development and delivery of native Android mobile applications. The candidate must exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must have experience interfacing with product owners as well as internal and external technical teams and resources. Agile development experience is preferred. The role requires native mobile development experience with Android universal applications. Strong technical knowledge, coupled with in depth experience working with REST services, is required.

  • The ideal candidate would have 5+ years’ experience developing native Android mobile applications
  • More than 10 years of overall experience.
  • Design and develop new native mobile applications, as required.
  • Proficient in Android SDK components (Content Providers, Networking, Services, Broadcast Receivers, Intents, Fragments)
  • Experience in implementing unit tests.Design, develop and implement cohesive, highly-usable features and improvements to our existing native Android applications.
  • Experience with development of mobile network clients using HTTP protocol, REST APIs and firebase Cloud Messaging, push notifications, geo-locations.
  • Experience with Google Play APIs: Maps, Location, and firebase cloud messaging

Must have:
  • Coding Experience: Core Java development
  • Development Experience: Android Application Development (APK) with device product background.
  • Development Environment : Ubuntu or Linux
  • Version Control & Code Review Tools: git
  • Android Debugging Technologies: ADB/Logcat/System Traces/Event Logs/Tombstone/ANR/etc
  • Framework: Knowledge of Android Framework
  • Development Tools: Eclipse or Android Studio or IntelliJ with Android Plug-in

Good to have:
  • Knowledge on C, Python Scripting
  • Multi Module Android App development, Android OS Architecture, System Library and Android Framework knowledge
  • Multimedia (Audio & Video) or other Framework
