IBM Application Consultants work directly with our clients on key initiatives. You will have the opportunity to build an in-depth understanding of their business issues and implement organizational strategies that drive adoption of change. We are looking for experts who can build credibility and trust with our clients and provide knowledge that addresses individual and unique business needs.Looking for a dynamic leaders to join the newly formed Cloud Pak Acceleration Team (CPAT). IBM Cloud™ Paks are enterprise-ready, containerized software solutions that give clients an open, faster and more secure way to move core business applications to any cloud. Each IBM Cloud Pak™ runs on Red Hat® OpenShift® on IBM Cloud and Red Hat Enterprise Linux and includes containerized IBM middleware and common software services for development and management. The CPAT is a new and highly visible mission to accelerate IBM Cloud Pak signings by deploying skilled squads on customer PoCs/MVPs. This technical team will be trained in the IBM Garage method and IBM Cloud Pak practitioner skills. They will complement the IBM sales and services teams in the field.We are looking for a 1st line manager to build out the mission and the team. The critical tasks include:
Hiring and training new and experienced employees
Working with tech sales leaders to identify and staff an MVP engagement at a client.
Partnering with the sales teams to drive successful outcomes for each MVP engagement.
Learning and evolving the successful deployment scenarios and adoption patterns for current and future Cloud Paks
Providing feedback to key IBM stakeholders on customer experience
Helping cultivate references
Identifying opportunities for follow-on fee-based Garage/Expert Services engagements
Candidates must be experienced managers with a strong technical background and experience working with customers and the field. Candidates must be comfortable working in a dynamic and rapidly-evolving "start-up" work environment. This role will interface with sales, Garage, expert services, development, and enablement leaders to ensure successful outcomes.cldpakat
Prior management experience
Must have one or more of the following customer-facing roles in work history: Professional/lab services, technical sales, support
Has successfully worked on a delivered customer project
Experience with hiring, enablement, and development of junior and senior technical talent (developers, data scientists, architects etc)
Comfortable interacting with customers
Experience with IBM Garage method
Experience with RedHat and/or IBM Cloud Pak technologies
Understanding of IBM field structure
Prior role in a start-up/newly-formed mission
