Job Description

Exegy is seeking a Lead Engineer for its Managed Services Engineering department. MSE designs, programs, and maintains user interfaces, APIs, and automated processes related to Exegy product deployment, configuration management, service health monitoring, and service management. MSE tools and processes support key operational processes such as provisioning, notifications, and customer support. As a member of MSE, you will develop interfaces and automated processes to support these functions. MSE key technologies include Puppet, ServiceNow, Jira, Linux, JavaScript, Angular, Python, Git, and Docker.

Qualifications

Specifically, you will:

  • Provide technical leadership for the team guiding processes and best practices
  • Develop software components, review code, tune system performance, and troubleshoot issues raised by customers and support teams
  • Interface with hardware and firmware engineers to design automated monitoring and management solutions that improve reliability

What will make you Successful:

  • Expertise using and creating APIs
  • Experience with Puppet and Ansible
  • Programming skills in Python, Java, Ruby, or C/C
  • Knowledge of Linux system administration and networking
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong skills with object-oriented design, microservices, and data structures
  • Experience with Linux and scripting languages (e.g. shell, Perl, PHP)
  • Experience with source-code control (e.g. Gitlab, GitHub, CVS)
  • Familiarly with continuous integration and test automation
  • Stay current with emerging development tools and technologies

What is Required:

  • BS or higher in Computer Science or related field
  • 7+ years software development experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
