3rd Shift: 7:00P - 7:00A, every other weekend off.

Overview:
The Network Operations Center (NOC) provides 24x7x365 monitoring of networks and IT infrastructure. Additionally the NOC is responsible for incident management for all critical and high multi-user outages. The NOC participates in troubleshooting and resolution of a wide array of outages including network, telephony, and server issues. The NOC also serves as coordination point for customer communications during high impact outages.

Role:
  • Perform pro-active network monitoring and troubleshooting of network, server, and application infrastructure.
  • Identify infrastructure service degradations and failures using monitoring tools, management systems, and vendor specific utilities.
  • Actively troubleshoot high priority multi-user impact events escalating as business needs dictate.
  • Facilitate communications with end users and technical teams in support of both routine and reactionary monitoring events.
  • Maintain tickets, logs, and records in accordance with ITIL best practices.
  • Utilize NOC run-book guidelines for first level break/fix restoration needs.
  • Initiate and coordinate outage conference bridges as part of the outage management process.
  • Support team members in dealing with large scale network events.
  • Monitor weather conditions and escalate to appropriate facilities.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3+ years working in a Network Operations Center (NOC), IT Support or Systems Administrator role
  • Good knowledge of troubleshooting, identification, isolation and resolution of network related issues.
  • Network router configuration and switch administration is a plus.
  • Windows server administration experience is a plus.
  • Foundational knowledge of ITIL principles.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure and changing environment.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong technical and trouble shooting skills.
  • Proven analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Must have the desire to learn.
