The Production Manager is responsible for the production of finished goods which includes coordinating the production schedule, materials, and staffing necessary to manufacture a high quality product that meets customer demands on a timely basis. This position supervises all production activities in order to meet operational goals for safety, quality, customer service and cost control. This position is the point of accountability for leading day-to-day execution of business results focused on key performance measures of reliability, safety, quality and productivity.
TASKS INCLUDE
plan a production schedule for the job
implement and control the production schedule
review and adjust the schedule where needed
determine the human resources required
determine the material resources required
manage human and material resources to meet production targets
make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement
work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations
ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to
ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
set product quality standards
monitor quality standards of products
implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives
analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems
determine and implement improvements to the production process
prepare and maintain production reports
monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement
estimate production costs
set production budgets
manage production budgets
implement cost control programs
ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management
QUALIFICATIONS
3 years experience in manufacturing
Minimum 5 years experience managing and leading people, with at least 3 years as a production supervisor/leader/manager, including managing production and employees, scheduling, training, meeting deadlines and project schedules.
Entrepreneurial spirit and drive needed to work effectively within a fast-growing company.
A high sense of integrity, sound judgment and sense of urgency.
Proven supervisory experience including coaching, training and development of team to achieve results.
Strong prioritization and time management skills.
A motivated self-starter who can work well independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication (oral, written and interpersonal) skills.
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Ability to operate warehouse equipment safety.
Must possess a strong work ethic, have the ability to read & write, be punctual, generally like building or creating things and be able to multi-task.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS
Warehouse environment. Employee will be required to frequently stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, & feel.
Ability to frequency lift or move 10 to 50 pound cases, occasionally move, push or pull 50 to 125 pound kegs, walk distances of 100 feet and stand for extended periods of time.
