Major Areas of Responsibility:
Responsible for fabrication of mechanical and electrical components to facilitate assembly of reach in chambers in accordance with company practices and procedures.
Pre-build required components as directed.
Employs the use of tools and materials with caution and follows approved safety practices.
Maintains cleanliness of work site during fabrication of the mechanical and electrical components.
Maintain stock level and inventory at platform station to minimize need to leave station.
Continually provide feedback to the Production Manager, Engineer and Shop Foreman regarding potential fabrication improvements.
Arrange tools and materials in work area daily (or more frequently) to maintain a safe and organized work area.
Operate tools, gauges and other testing equipment for refrigeration systems.
Proactive attitude that focuses on creating ideas and plans for correcting issues or handling daily tasks.
Primary Objectives:
Responsible for following established safety practices and procedures required for fabrication of mechanical and electrical components.
Ensure that all project tasks are executed per plans, specifications and company standard operating procedures.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Job Requirements
Minimum 8 hour work day.
Must be able to use hand tools
Light computer work
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with other employees
Ability to use a measuring tape, familiarity with power tools and basic hand tools.
Understand the operations of commercial refrigeration systems.
Brazing and assembly skills.
Education and Experience
Degree or equivalent experience: GED
EPA License type 1 Minimum
Years of experience: 2 years or schooling equivalent
Other requirements: Valid drivers license and personal vehicle insurance
Must be able to stand for several hours at a time, climb up & down ladders .
Applicants with HVACR and/or EPA Certification will start at the higher end of pay scale.
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A PRE-PLACEMENT DRUG SCREENING
MUST AGREE TO AND PASS A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK
Pay Range is $15-$18 per hour depending on experience.
