Hot Lava Media is looking for a creative, highly-motivated web professional to join our team on-site in St. Louis, MO. No Contractors, please. We are seeking an on-site full time employee. You’ll have direct responsibility for the design, development and maintenance of web sites and marketing collateral for our clients working within a talented group of individuals focused on innovation and committed to excellence.
In this role, you will:
Produce high-quality, responsive websites built on WordPress and some custom coding. This includes both design and development work
Optimize on-page elements, information architecture and server technology for SEO, performance and security
Work with E-Commerce platforms, shopping carts and payment gateways
Launch websites and train clients on keeping website up-to-date after launch
Adhere to production schedules and work under tight deadlines.
Produce traditional marketing pieces (ex: logos, sales sheets, posters, etc.)
From Day 1, work directly with customers to make sure they are happy, that their websites are performing, and we have exceeded their expectations.
You should have:
-1-3 years professional web development and graphic design experience
-Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills
-A strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript/jQuery, PHP
-A strong knowledge of CMS platforms (Wordpress/Joomla)
-Work with WP Bakery, Visual Composer, Elementor and other page builders
-Familiarity with hosting environments (Godaddy, Hostgator, Blue Host and others), CPanel, DNS, SSL certificates
-Familiarity with YouTube platforms and video production/editing
-Experience with quality SEO techniques, Google Local Listings, social media tools, and other online marketing strategies
-A willingness to work in a collaborative environment and go the extra mile
-A positive attitude
