Job Description

The Threat Intelligence division of Mandiant is reshaping how organizations measure, manage and improve cyber security effectiveness. Evangelizing a technology movement like this one will take more than just a good sales pitch. As a team, we obsess over helping our customers:

We are currently seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to join our team. Do you love complex problems? Does working across a diverse set of technologies inspire you? If so, we are looking for a new member on our team to transform how our customers use security metrics to improve their environments.

What you will do:

  • Design, implement, and deliver software solutions throughout the Mandiant Threat Intelligence platform to increase its value to our customers.
  • Collaborate with a world-class engineering team to propose features that solve recurring patterns of customer complaints.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Work as a strong team player with a high degree of flexibility.
  • Demonstrate a systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive.
  • Updating existing aspects of the data and analytics capabilities in the platform.
  • Working with the team to ensure a consistent experience across the product.
  • Write tests and documentation to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the solutions delivered via the platform.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience with several different programming languages commonly used for development of front-end and back-end applications (e.g., JavaScript, Go, Java, Python, Ruby).
  • Experience with one or more modern front-end web development frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular).
  • Experience with common patterns and practices for back-end API development (e.g., RESTful web services, gRPC, microservice architecture).
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (or similar e.g., Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure).
  • Experience developing applications with cloud native technologies (e.g., S3, Lambda, Redshift).
  • Experience developing applications for use in containerized and orchestrated environments.
  • Experience developing secure web applications using modern access and authorization technologies (e.g., JWT, OpenID, SAML)
  • Experience with several relational, document, or graph database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Janusgraph).
  • Experience with unit testing and automated functional test frameworks.
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools (e.g., Jenkins, Drone, Circle, Github Actions, Argo, Spinnaker)

Additional qualifications:

  • Experience with distributed messaging frameworks (e.g, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kinesis).
  • Knowledge of a variety of networking technologies.
  • Expertise with Linux operating system internals (e.g., networking, file systems, performance monitoring, security).
  • Able to quickly adapt to new tools and frameworks as needs change.

Minimum Salary: $125,000. Final salary will be determined commensurately with cost of living, experience level, and/or any other legally permissible considerations.

Incentive Compensation: Eligibility for annual bonus subject to individual and company performance; eligibility for award of Restricted Stock Units subject to eligibility requirements, approval from Mandiant’s Compensation Committee, and vesting terms
