Job Title:Assistant General Manager (AGM)

Reports to: General Manager (GM)

Direct Reports: Hosts, Servers, Bartenders, Runners, Bussers

Classification:Exempt

Date: TBD

Salary: Full time year round salaried position - commensurate with experience

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation after the first year, Closed on Sunday (except Mothers day you will not have to work Sundays!), Primary Care Physician & major medical, dental and vision plan, bonus program, meal program.

Buffalo Block Prime Steakhouse at the Rex: includes the restaurant, bar, and event center. Assist in all functions for front of the house (FOH) service and operations. Continual focus on staffing training & developing FOH Team Members.Working with the HOH to provide a one of a kind experience to our guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Primary responsibilities include:

General

Help to ensure the FOH is staffed to appropriate par levels with minimum overtime used.

Help to ensure that all FOH Team Members have proper training and validation before beginning work.

Assist in creating a favorable environment that portrays the Company culture in order to minimize turnover.

Manage full shift responsibilities.

Help to ensure we are meeting daily productivity and labor goals.

Ensure Guests are responded to promptly.

Ensure consistent implementation and execution of sales and service objectives.

Assist in new product roll-outs as necessary to build sales and control costs.

Provide direction to Team Members regarding operational and procedural issues as directed by GM.

Assist in providing a safe working and Guest environment that reduces the risk of injury and accidents; complete accident reports promptly in the event of injury.

Additional duties, projects, and initiatives as assigned by the Company.

Financial

Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimizecosts,includingfood,beverage,supply,utilityandlabor

Assist in inventories, tracking and variance reports to keep COGS to company standards.

Food and Alcohol Quality and Safety

Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of the dining areas.

Assist in maintaing professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance

Must maintain ServSafe and alcohol safety certification.

Upholds all ServSafe, state, and local guidelines.

Guest service

Ensure positive Guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied Guests into return

Assist inensuringconsistenthighqualityofservice and adhering to the steps of service.

Participate in service during peak periods, provide guidance, and feedback.

Operational responsibilities

Provide direction to Employees regarding operational and procedural issues.

Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews.

Community Involvement

Provide strong presence in local community and high level of community involvement by restaurant and personnel.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 1 year experience as a Restaurant Manager.

Excellent verbal communication and people development skills.

Must be capable of performing all functions and meeting all qualification standards for all hourly positions.
