Job Description:
In charge of all front-of-the-house functions, to include the dining room and bar. Supervises and trains all bar and service staff in accordance with operating policies, which he/she helps establish. Interviews, hires, fires, rewards, and disciplines all front of the house staff. Schedules all front staff in accordance with established labor goals. Coordinates and is responsible for the planning, recipes, costing and inventorying of all beverages to meet cost of goods goals. Responsible for the purchasing of all beverages and front room equipment and supplies, while executing necessary responsibilities to minimize operating costs. Reviews physical plant daily to verify cleanliness, safety and the replenishment of supplies, as well as develops a general cleaning schedule and daily side work duties for service and bar staff. Arranges all repairs/maintenance of front of the house equipment. Encourages professionalism and teamwork through developing a reward system. Schedules monthly one-hour bar staff meetings for detailed cleaning and to review procedures, as well as attends all menu meetings and manager meetings. Handles all customer complaints while insuring uncompromising, personalized service.
