Optometric Technician
The successful candidate for our Optometric Technician position should possess a pleasant personality, positive attitude, great attention to detail, work well under pressure and outstanding customer service skills as this is also a customer service role.
Heights Eyecare is seeking a friendly, reliable team member to join our busy 5 doctor practice as an optometric technician. This is a great job for an energetic and qualified individual who would like to make a positive difference in people's lives by helping with their most valued sense, sight!
Availability: Monday - Friday 7:15am - 5:00pm
Job Type: Full Time
Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
Optometric Technician Job Duties:
⢠conducting preliminary and diagnostic testing during comprehensive eye exams and ocular medical office visits
⢠helping with the maintenance of patient records
⢠contact lens insertion and removal training
⢠answering and returning patient phone calls
⢠managing patient flow by effectively communicating with team members and doctors
⢠assisting in scheduling and patient referrals
⢠cleaning and restocking exam rooms with proper supplies
⢠maintaining a well-organized and clean work environment
Optometric Technician Skills and Qualifications:
⢠Optometric Technician with 1+ year of experience (preferred)
⢠CPO and/or CPOA Certification (preferred)
⢠Prior experience working in a medical field
⢠Comfortable working with people of all ages, particularly kids
⢠Detail oriented
⢠Excellent computer skills
⢠Ability to be resourceful and proactive - Initiative
⢠Customer Focus
⢠Professionalism
⢠Excellent work ethic and people skills
⢠Team player with a positive attitude
⢠Energetic and amiable personality
