Alaska Travel Adventures is currently recruiting Adventure Tour Guides to fill positions in Juneau and Ketchikan.

RIVER GUIDE: Row inflatable rafts with 10-12 passengers down five miles of the Mendenhall River, including one mile of class II-III whitewater. Applicants should be outgoing and comfortable providing our guests with entertaining and informative narration while operating the raft safely and proficiently. Guides are responsible for setting up, breaking down, and cleaning trip equipment. Boating and rafting experience helpful. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive guide training. Clean driving record and ability to drive helpful. Position requires heavy lifting. Available in Juneau.

CANOE GUIDE: Instruct and lead clients in the use of 20-passenger, 37 foot canoes on a secluded mountain lake at our Ketchikan location, or 12-passenger; 30 foot canoes on a glacial lake at our Juneau location. This is a highly independent position which requires the ability to guide safely and responsibly with limited supervision. Applicants should be outgoing and comfortable providing our guests with entertaining and informative narration. Boating experience is helpful. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive guide training. Clean driving record and ability to drive required. The ability to tow a trailer is helpful. Available in Ketchikan and Juneau.

SEA KAYAK GUIDE: Instruct and lead clients in the safe operation of double sea kayaks. Applicants should be outgoing and comfortable providing our guests with entertaining and informative narration on wildlife and history of the area while paddling a kayak safely and proficiently. Responsibilities also include set up and break down of trips, cleaning and maintenance of trip equipment, as well as preparation and serving of a light snack. Previous kayak experience and ability to operate a skiff is helpful. Some heavy lifting is required. Clean driving record and ability to drive helpful. The ability to tow a trailer is helpful. Available in Sitka and Juneau.

Valid CPR/First Aid required before start of work.
