Ensure the safety and well-being of each student by responding to their emotional, social and physical needs as well as their education needs
Follow Montana Licensing Policies
Be the primary caregiver for up to eight to ten students in the classroom
Establish a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care and friendly service
At drop off and pick up speak with parents about their child (how was their morning, this is how their day went, etc.)
Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the students in the program
Create weekly lesson plans and daily activities
Engage students in activities and play that stimulates their development
Always Supervise students while keeping them safe
Assist students with activities of daily life (restroom use, hand washing, eating choices, etc.)
Create and maintain an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all students
Make sure all toys are clean and safe for students to use
Document behavior / incidents if needed
Supervise Teacher Assistants in the classroom and ensure they are following program/state policies
Train any Teacher Assistants in the classroom and direct them as to what duties need to be carried out throughout the day
Compile progress assessment for all students based on benchmarked for developmental stages and facilitate parent-teacher conference
Maintain a professional self-image
