Job description

OUR FIRM: Pioneers in building with reclaimed antique timber and indigenous stone, award-winning JLF Architects brings 40 years of experience to creating sustainable legacy houses in some of the world’s most beautiful locations, contrasting rustic materials and appreciation for the land with the best of innovative contemporary design. Leaders in what has come to be called Rustic Modern or Mountain Modern, working in design-build collaboration with Big-D Signature, we apply distinctive solutions and Old-World techniques to create houses that are rooted in the natural world and honor the history of place, materials, and craft.

OUR HOME: With projects in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Park City, Utah, and scattered throughout the U.S., our home base remains in the cultural creative hotbed of Bozeman, Montana—a frequent name on Outside’s “Best Places to Live” lists and recently dubbed “One of America’s Coolest Towns” by Travel + Leisure.

THE JOB: We’re looking for an architect/project manager who wants to apply their passion and enthusiasm for architectural design and planning in a collaborative work environment that balances hard work and intense dedication with a chill Bozeman vibe that embraces fun and promotes real creativity. We work in small groups and truly as a team, handling projects that vary widely in scope and complexity across all phases of design and construction. We also want someone who enjoys the hands-on aspects of creating as we collaborate closely with skilled builders, artisans, craftsmen, engineers, landscape designers … and our clients.
