Okay, Cool Management is seeking an experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our dynamic team and be in charge of our pastry, bread, and dessert program at the Market Place in the newly built Osborne Building in the heart of downtown Bozeman.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of pastry and baking experience with proficiency in viennoiserie, patisserie, and boulangerie.

REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct the creation and preparation of all pastry dishes, baked goods, and desserts.

Hire, schedule, train, and supervise individual(s) to help with the preparation and production of baked goods and desserts.

Source and select necessary pastry ingredients.

Analyzes food costs and determines most cost-effective recipes while maintaining quality.

Manage food costs and inventory for pastry goods.

Stay current and informed of culinary trends.

Adhere to all sanitation, safety, and food preparation laws.

Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create exciting new desserts that complement our menu at the soon to open 2nd floor restaurant.

Prepares specialty baked goods for in-house and catered events.

Directs and/or arranges for the maintenance and care of departmental facilities, equipment, supplies, and materials in a manner which promotes efficiency, health, and safety.

Clear and effective communicator.

Extremely organized with attention to detail.

Available to work early morning hours, weekends, and holidays.

Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
