The Daily Coffee & Eatery is looking for an experienced, hardworking, dependable barista to help continue the experience of our quality products. We are looking for someone who is passionate about coffee and the community it creates.
Our focus is serving quality food & beverages while providing stellar customer service. Open availability is preferred, however, afternoon and weekend availability is a must. If you are seeking a future in the wonderful world of coffee, we would love to have you join our team!
There is potential to work into a Lead Barista role. Our Lead Baristas are expected to support a culture that attracts, retains, and develops the highest quality baristas and champions the ongoing spirit of development and professional growth across the team. This role encourages continued training and coffee education.
Job Summary:
The barista is responsible for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer. He/she is also responsible for educating customers about our premium coffees, including roasts and regions. The barista fulfills any other duties assigned by a manager or lead and represents The Daily in a professional manner.
Responsibilities:
-Educates customers on our superior quality, products, and services.
-Safely handles all hot and cold drinks during drink preparation.
-Follows all company drink recipes and procedures, maintaining the highest quality and consistent product standards.
-Develops an understanding of coffee regions and the various differences in flavor and blends.
-Begins to educate themselves on the various types of coffee, blends, roasts and brewing methods.
-Answers customer questions regarding coffee blends, preparation, and product freshness.
-Sells and serves baked goods and food items to customers.
-Maintains a positive environment for customers and team members.
-Restocks shelves when necessary.
-Routinely cleans the various areas on the floor and behind the bar.
Qualifications:
-Proven working experience as a barista
-High integrity with a great attendance record
-Strong attention to detail
-Ability to listen and communicate effectively
