About The Emerson Grill:

The Emerson Grill has been a Bozeman culinary staple since 2005. Guests enjoy delicious Italian meals in our restaurant, at our wine bar in intimate Emerson Grill North, with friends in our Ecce (Art) Gallery private dining room, or during the summer on our award-winning outdoor lawn patio, and throughout the year with on and off-site catering. We offer dinner service Monday through Saturday at 5pm. We strive to use local and organic food whenever possible.

Each year when the summer season is upon us, we expand our staff in order to accommodate our outdoor dining area. We are looking to train an individual during the last bit of the slow season so that they are fully prepared when the time comes. Training begins immediately. Two - four shifts per week. Must be available weekends. Full-time and Part-time positions available.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be able to follow detailed instructions and strict expectations set by the restaurant owner.

To report for your shift punctually, in full uniform according to appearance and grooming standards

To promote and maintain a positive working relationship at all times with all the Colleagues of The Emerson Grill

To demonstrate a complete understanding of all policies, procedures and standards stated in the Employee Handbook

To consistently offer professional, friendly and warm hospitality to all guests.

To foster and practice teamwork and cooperation with all other positions

To attend all required training sessions and be aware of any changes to menus, departmental policies and procedures, service standards as well as business trends and requirements.

To demonstrate a complete knowledge and understanding of the sequence of service, food and beverage service standards, and all other service standards.

To have full and complete knowledge of the food menu, dessert menu, coffee and tea menu as well as all other beverage menus and the wine list. To know about menu items, ingredients, preparation methods and garnishes for all dishes. To be able to guide the guest through the menu and make any suggestions or recommendations in the guests' interest. To be able to answer any guest question about food items, beverages and wines in an informative and helpful way.

To ensure that all work areas and stations are kept clean and tidy at all times.

To perform all opening, side and closing duties as well as all daily and weekly duties to the set standards as outlined in the Job

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

At least 4 years work experience within an upscale high volume establishment

Expert knowledge of fine dining and wines/beverages

Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude

Willingness to learn new concepts and ideas

Sommelier training preferred, not required

COMPENSATION

Minimum wage + generous gratuities.
