The Historic Sacajawea Hotel, home to Pompey's Grill and the Sacajawea Bar, is now hiring for the following kitchen positions.

SAUTE COOK ( $16-$19 an hour DOE plus cash tips):

Must have experience. Looking for a creative and motivated person to join our talented kitchen team.

Our ideal candidate is a creative professional who is willing to participate in creating delicious seasonal menus and meal designs. Cook menu items efficiently and correctly in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.

Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

You should have excellent communication skills with in-depth knowledge of several cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes while complying with sanitation regulations and safety standards.

LINE COOK ($16-$19 an hour DOE plus cash tips):

Must have cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook.

Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.

Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks and be familiar with industry’s best practices.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

Prepare food for service while complying with sanitation regulations and safety standards.

Cook menu items efficiently and correctly in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.

Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
