A small law practice is seeking a part-time office assistant. We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated person who can multi-task. A candidate should have excellent customer service skills and a pleasant telephone demeanor.
â¢ Answering phones and responding to emails
â¢ Processing mail
â¢ Scheduling meetings and calendaring deadlines
â¢ Organizing and keeping files, both on a computer and paper files
â¢ Using templates to create documents
â¢ Greeting clients
â¢ Keeping office clean and organized
â¢ Running errands
â¢ Filing legal documents
â¢ Tracking office supplies
â¢ Other projects as needed from time to time
Qualifications and Skills:
â¢ Prefer 2 years of college or more.
â¢ Computer experience is required, including use of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, and ability to learn industry specific software and online court-filing programs.
â¢ Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills.
â¢ Customer service experience preferred.
â¢ Ability to multitask while still maintaining a high attention to detail.
â¢ Experience in legal, medical, or similar office setting a plus.
Up to 20 hours a week available, depending on candidateâs availability. On-the-job training, and possibility for more hours if motivated. Competitive wage DOE. 401K available after 1 year of service and if other qualifications are met.
