Gaston Engineering & Surveying PC is seeking a Receptionist/Office Assistant to manage our front desk on a part-time basis. This position is the first point of contact for our company and requires a candidate with a cheerful disposition, strong work ethic & ability to learn new tasks. This position will perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks including: Receiving visitors at the front desk; Answering, screening and forwarding incoming phone calls; Receiving/distributing mail and preparing outgoing correspondence for mailing; Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock; Filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing; and provide other administrative support across the organization as requested; This position will be 20-25 hours per week with flexible schedule available. Wages will depend upon experience.
Qualified candidate will have:
⢠The ability to effectively utilize a multi-line phone system
⢠Working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
⢠Motivated self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision.
⢠Well organized with outstanding attention to detail
⢠Excellent written and verbal communication skills
⢠Previous office experience is preferred
