JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing multiple repair and maintenance tasks throughout the day, which could include, but is not limited to: minor electrical; minor drywall repair, minor plumbing; painting; outdoor landscaping; and general facility repairs.
SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS:
Attention to detail
Ability to multi-task
Dependability a must
Knowledge in many aspects of repair and maintenance work
Five or more years handyman or related experience
Regular and reliable attendance is expected
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Electrical repairs and maintenance: Change light-bulbs, reset circuit breakers, etc
General Plumbing: Repair toilets, unclog faucets and sinks, fix leaks, etc
Carpentry/General Construction: Drywall, painting, texturing etc.
Facility Repairs: Doors, locks, broken tiles, polish floors, etc.
Outdoors: Landscaping, sprinkler system, sweeping etc.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports directly to the General Manager
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
Ability to reach and to lift materials weighing up to 40 lbs.
Overall coordination and good balance are required. Ability to stand, walk, and move rapidly for work shift.
Ability to bend, twist and turn, climb stairs. Ability to perform repetitious arm and wrist movements.
Ability to move equipment, furniture and materials; demo rooms to prepare for remodelling.
