The Automatic Door Technician is responsible for quality installation and preventative maintenance for commercial automatic doors. This position must ideally have a mechanical aptitude, experience with electrical wiring and be able to problem solve and work within tight timeframes and budgets. Travel, emergency dispatch calls, and overtime may be required in this position.
Essential Duties:
Obtain information from customers and co-workers and evaluate information to determine compliance with standards
Make decisions and solve problems
Requisition materials and supplies
Quality installation and preventative maintenance for commercial automatic doors
Recommend measures to improve production methods, product quality or efficiency
Maintain a safe work environment and uphold safety rules and regulations
Handle Automatic projects with superior customer interaction
Available for emergency dispatch
Report progress accurately to Project Managers and/or Coordinator.
Listen and understand procedures to safely use hand and power tools and other equipment.
Work occasional overtime.
Travel to out of town locations as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Licenses/Certifications):
AAADM certification a plus.
Experience in low voltage wiring preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Residential and/or Commercial Glazing background preferred.
HS Diploma or GED
