We're Helena's only locally owned health food store! We've been helping people be healthy since 1975.
Our Front End manager is responsible for all management and training functions of the cashier and customer service staff. Resolves issues that may arise with the computer systems, check stands, bank deposits and opening and closing of the store. Maintains good morale of front end staff. Must understand and support the stores mission¨. (Please see our mission statement at the end of job description).
Responsibilities
Anticipate staffing needs and schedule accordingly
Responsible for training, coaching, disciplining and firing of front end staff
Handle any emergencies and resolve issues calmly including, database problems, till crashes, customer complaints, credit card server problems and food stamp issues
Account for cash and credit card transactions and deposits
Implement new policies and procedures
Check out all customer purchases with a high attention to accuracy
Know which items are able to be purchased through the food stamps (ebt) program
Troubleshoot problems and provide solutions (rebooting computer, re-starting programs and running credit cards manually if computer system is down)
Customer Service
Model of excellence in customer service
Portray sincere friendliness even under frustrating circumstances
Complete paperwork for returns, credits, rain checks, gift cards and special orders
Keep current on any store events, activities or promotions to answer customer questions
Maintain personal appearance, cleanliness, and hygiene standards appropriate for public contact¨
Qualifications
Possess a high degree of integrity and management skills
PossessÂstrong written and verbal communication skills
Be able to handle a broad range of responsibilities and multi-task
Demonstrate computer expertise
Demonstrate expertise in opening, closing, bank deposit, and checkout procedures
Must be able to bend, stoop, reach lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand on concrete floor for long periods of time
Be pro-active in learning about products to answer questions or recommend them to customers¨
