Established dental practice is searching for a compassionate, friendly and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team! Candidate must have exceptional communication skills and provide outstanding patient care. Our goal is to deliver legendary care to all of our patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, and dental charting
-Taking digital x-rays and intra-oral photos.
-Removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth using hand scalers and ultrasonic.
-Providing all necessary modalities of anesthetic and other medicaments (such as Arestin) to teeth and gum surfaces.
-Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain life long oral health.
-Counseling patients about the connection between oral health and systemic health.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-Superior time management and prioritization skills.
-Excellent communication skill, oral and written.
-Team oriented and positive nature.
-Intermediate computer skills with the ability to learn new software programs.
-Knowledge of Dentrix software is a plus but not necessary.
Requirements:
Current RDH license
Anesthesia license
