The qualified individual will be fielding in-bound and making out-bound collection calls to consumers regarding their past due bills to assist them with their questions, setting payment plans, or otherwise resolving the accounts. The Collection Specialist will utilize various collection strategies and methodologies to collect the debt, while maintaining professionalism in accordance with federal and state laws along with client collection guidelines. Knowledge of healthcare and medical revenue cycle are a plus, but not required.
Requirements for Collection Specialist:
⢠High School Diploma or equivalent
⢠Able to type a minimum of 35 words per minute
⢠Computer literate including base knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel and Internet
⢠Clear, pleasant and assertive voice
⢠Strong verbal communication skills
⢠Able to work 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday
