Third Night Staff (Temporary FT Position)
Marion, MT Program Staff
Description
Provide supervision of students on the night shift
Provide higher levels of supervision for students designated Close Watch or Sight and Sound
Maintain knowledge of student whereabouts, safety and emotional well being, by performing continuous room checks
Acts as the school contact person, answering phones and checking messages on the emergency phone
Screens all visitors that arrive while on shift
General clean up of dorm staff areas
Maintain safety at all times
Secure dorms
Turn off lights and appliances and lock dorms when departing in the morning.
Communicate every hour with opposite night staff
Light housekeeping of various campus buildings
Supervise morning clean, breakfast preparation and cleanup
Communicate with crossover staff any needs and/or concerns
Write daily reports in Night staff log
In case of a run away or any kind of emergency, follow emergency procedures and call staff living on campus immediately to assist
May be asked to aid in dorm maintenance tasks or administrative tasks while on shift
Requirements
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma and a valid Montana Drivers License required
Lines of Authority:
Night staff reports to the Program Director. Night staff is expected to communicate any events of the previous night with the crossover staff in the morning.
Training Requirements:
Must maintain current First Aid and CPR
Must complete de-escalation training
Must read Policies and Procedure, Employee Manual, Student Handbook, and Orientation Materials
Physical Demands of the Position:
Sedentary to light work accounts for the majority of the physical activity in this position although you may be required to lift 10-30 lbs at times. You are expected to remain awake and alert while on shift.
